Introduction for The Precision Casting

Precision casting refers to the general name of the processes for obtaining precise size castings. Compared to traditional sand casting process, the castings produced by precision casting are more accurate dimensions and better surface finish. It includes investment casting, ceramic mold casting, permanent mold casting, pressure casting, and lost foam casting.

Precision casting, also known as lost-wax casting, products which are made by precision casting are precise, complex, and close to the final shape of the parts. They can be directly used without or with little processing, and are an advanced process for near net shape formation.

One of the most commonly used is investment casting:
Selecting suitable investment materials (such as paraffin wax) to manufacture investment mold;
Repeating the processes of being covered with refractory coating and spreading refractory sand on the investment mold, hardening the mold shell and drying it;
Dissolving the internal investment mold to obtain the mold cavity;
Baking the shell to obtain sufficient strength and burn off residual investment materials;
Pouring metal materials required;
Solidification cooling, dehulling and sand cleaning to obtain high-precision finished products.
According to the product's needs to be heat treated, cold processed, and surface treated.
